Is it normal for a newborn to only wake up once during the night?

My little Jack is a week old and is already sleeping most of the night. We went to sleep around 10pm and he didn't wake up for feeding until 6am and then again at 8am. Is this normal? I'm a little worried. He's an amazing eater through out the day, wakes up every two to three hours to feed and has normal pees and poops through out the day and night. I'm just worried because a lot of people are telling me it's not normal. I have an appointment for him tomorrow so I'll ask the doc then. But what are your opinions on this?
