Why didn't I feel anything after sex?!

Hello Ladies,

I wanted your guys opinion on something personal. I recently, well not recently but about almost a month ago I had sex twice with the guy I really like. I still don't know what we are at this point but we had a pregnancy scare not too long ago. Well my question and input for you guys is after having sex with him two times (I gave him my virginity) I felt nothing afterwards like I enjoyed sex while we were doing it but literally felt nothing. I was thinking do you guys think it has to do with my past? Since I was sexually assaulted at age 11? Like don't get me wrong I like the guy I just felt nothing like no attachment, nothing! I waited days to see if it would change but no. Like I've wanted more sex...since we haven't had any in about a month but I'm afraid as to why I may feel this way (loss of attachment to SO after traumatic experience) any ladies out there that can relate to what I'm going through? If so, what did you do?

Maybe but not necessarily. I didn't feel any kind of grand connection when I lost my virginity it's kind of common misconception that you HAVE to feel an attachment afterwards.

I never felt any attachment with any man or woman until I had sex with my husband, boyfriend at the time.

Honestly I can say my experience was different. The guy I lost my virginity to and now the father of my unborn baby. Was honestly great, I fell deeply in love with him before ever being intimate. But after we had sex I felt like I did something right for once in my life.(I previously was In an abusive relationship) but he made all my worries and fears go away. I hated myself for ever letting a guy lay a finger on me but my SO made me love myself again . I can say everyone is different and I can also say I felt more feelings for my SO. I never thought being in love and being in love with the person you loose your virginity with was another connection a connection that I thought I'd never have.

I never formed an emotional attachment to sex. My first time was with a guy I didn't even like, I didn't say yes, didn't say no. My seccond time was with a guy I liked, but wasn't seeing, I enjoyed it, but could've cared less if I had done it with him again. Most of my partners were just casual. Not everyone get emotional about it. It may have to do with your past (which I'm sorry happened to you). But it may just be the way it is as well.
