What side does infant car seat go on?

So mom's I need your help I'm trying to know which is the best spot for my infant car seat to go on in the back of my vehicle. Some say behind driver seat some say behind passenger. Which is best and why?

Behind the passenger seat....  this way you can put a mirror on the headrest of that seat with the carseat.... and you can see baby in your rear view mirror ;)   But hey both work ;)

Check your manual, some vehicles are only set up behind a seat not centered. If not centered behind the passenger seat

I put the youngest in the middle. Then my second child goes on the passengers side. Oldest goes behind the drivers side.

I read the manuals for both of our cars. Neither allows a middle installation. We use mirrors and have her seated behind the driver seat.

It goes wherever you can get the best install, but middle is best if possible.

Mine is behind driver for practicality.  My car isn't set up for center. Verify your vehicle allows. I get him out alot and I'm also short so my seat is much further up thsn passenger side.
