this is awkward for me

So I have small bumps on the inside on my vagina around my vaginal opening. It is causing sex with my fiancé to become painful and I'm not sure what it might be and I'm really nervous about it. I'm obviously going to see a doctor but I thought this might be a good place to ask if anyone had experience with this. I want to add that we were both virgins when we first had sex and have been completely faithful to each other but I am still afraid that it might be and std even thought that sounds silly to me.
