induce labor?

Hi,
Need some advice of experience moms. I am 40 weeks and 4 days, been at 3 centimeters for over a week. Today went to check with doctor and told me that i meet the criteria to get induced.
I have mix feeling, I am very tired, sad and frustrated. Just want to know that my baby is all right and it will come when it's it time. I been feeling contractions but not constant as to track them, but I can say that they have become more painful. 
Now me and my husband don't know what to do, should we wait for baby to come or should we go with doctor plan?
What are your thoughts?

Bang it out. Lots of nipple stimulation. And I was induced, and it wasn't the worst thing ever.

I'd give it another week. I went to 40+6 and was so glad to have a natural labour. Baby and my body were ready and labour was quick and relatively easy

I wouldn't choose to induce unless the doctor made me because I've read those contractions are more likely to cause fetal distress.

I'd induce. I chose to induce at 39wks and everything was fine.

*update**
After this post back on Tuesday I went into labor a couple of hours later, my baby girl was born naturally on 01-18-2017 at 3:45 am. No induction needed! We are so happy she came at the time she was ready. Here she is, just perfect!
