unbearable pain

So for a while now I've been having some pain in my left ovary area. And for the past week it's been swollen in that area and for the past three days it's gotten way worse. Has anyone gone through this? I'm thinking about going to the emergency room if the pain keeps getting worse. The pain really is spreading. Im also on the shot if that helps.
