Late period

My last period was dec 14-18 normal ok then i had spotted once one dec 28 then again jan 1 then stopped. My period was due on Jan 13 but its 5 days late. I took two test both neg. I have every symptom except nausea until today when i woke up but was real brief and went away am i going through a cycle change or could i be pregnant. I dont want to get my hopes up me and my love been trying for 5 months now
