Spaced out or close in age?

Question

Would you like to space having your kids out longer or have them closer in age? Do you decidely want one child only? Why?

People are already asking if we'll give Lyla a  sibling and I tell them absolutely...when she's in Kindergarten!

I can't afford 2 in daycare so they'll be spaced out.

lol just realized I didn't even say why. I do not want to outnumbered by miniature humans or have them close in development stages.(2 toddlers at the same time, two teens at the same time..) My friends with one child or two spaced out have more zen lives, plain and simple. Selfish as that is. I want a more peaceful household and enough time to enjoy every stage of motherhood without distraction. I soaked up every drop of my parents undivided attention before I was 7 & my little sister was born. My mom tells me all the time how much she loved it too.

I know I could deal with two munchkins running around at once. I just really don't want to!

Spaced out I don't think I could handle my kids really close in age. It's hard now dividing attention between my 5 yr old and my 5 month old

The closer they are, the easier it is to reuse things. Carseats expire and cribs become "unsafe" over time due to new safety standards. It just is cheaper to have them closer
