can you go into the army being a few weeks pregnant?

I just found out I am pregnant a few days ago and I've almost completely got everything done so I could join the army. All I have left is to get my physical done. Do any of you ladies know if I can still join if they find out that I'm pregnant?

No as you can't go to boot camp pregnant...u may b able to be delayed entry program where they will give you a date of when you will joint but prob not bc you cannot take pt test or anything. They prob will tell you to have baby and come back and talk to them.

Nope, basic is too hard on your body and you can't protect your belly army crawling through obstacle courses.

Nope. They won't let you. Basic is way too intense for pregnancy. You'll probably have to do delayed entry until after you have the babe.

You can sign the required documentation and initial contract but your physical training date will be after birth. I would make your recruiter aware now though.

Just ask your recruiter. They're going to find out when you go for your physical anyways. I highly doubt they allow you to be pregnant during basic training.

When you go in for your physical, they'll pee test you, tell you you're pregnant, and send you home. Had it happen to someone I knew.

There was a recruit in my unit who shipped to basic. They do a pregnancy test there. As soon as it came up positive they shipped her back home.

I personally think you should wait until the baby is here. Up until your basic date you're supposed to attend drill weekends so you wouldn't be able to do that plus you have to do some physical stuff swearing in as well! I think I'd just hold off until the baby was here and then join (:
