opk positive but no ovulation?

Hi ladies. I was recently diagnosted with PCOS. My LH lever is way high. Doctor said  even if the opk says i'm ovulating (past 3 months i got clear positive) i might not. Is it the same for you?! I'll start the meds soons probably clomid.

Yes, my doctor told me yesterday that I can still get a positive opk, but no ovulation. This is my first round of trying fertility medicine.

I have the same issue. My opk tests measure LH. As you go through your cycle your LH peaks and (most women) release a mature egg allowing the trigger for the LH to them subside. With us, the LH is trying to allow the release of the egg but our follicles are not maturing enough to even be released. This is causing false positives 😔. Frustrating but you're not alone. Did you start any medication yet?

I have PCOS and my dr wanted me to take opks and for a few months she had me do blood work to confirm ovulation so we were positive. Talk with your doctor, everyone's different and has different experiences. Wishing you luck ❤

My third round of Clomid I got a positive OPK the same cycle day I got positives previous months. Come to find out - I didn't ovulate that round. You can get false positives on OPK. Not sure how/why though.. Still curious myself. Good luck!

Estrogen will rise, giving you the flashing smiley face. And then LH will peak, giving you the solid smiley face. But just because your body makes LH, it does not mean you ovulated. It should trigger ovulation, but us ladies with PCOS have a problem with follicles not maturing enough to be released.

So it's not a false positive. LH really does peak.

I have PCOS, last cycle I was in 50 my of Clomid and ovulated on CD 25. This current cycle I was on 100mg of Clomid and ovulated on CD 19. You could just be ovulating later in your cycle. Keep testing and keep trying! :)

Same thing happened to me. I've received several false positives which really stinks. I have to have transvaginal ultrasounds to really know when I am ovulating. PCOS is fun, huh?!
