The big "I" word!

Amanda • We are a blended family of 7. This will be our first together. Super excited.
Not talking about inauguration day ladies and gents. Talking about Induction. So today at my doctor appt my midwife brought up the subject. Was hoping I didn't have to come to this point. I want to go into labor on my own Al naturale. I am 2 days away from my due date. And midwife said if I do not go into labor on my own by next Friday then they will do a NST and Induction will have to happen by next weekend(since their office is working the L&D that weekend). I am only 1 cm dilated, 50% effaced and baby boy is at -2 station and my cervix is soft. He looks great. I am fine. But because I will be approaching 41 weeks by next weekend, then the placenta will not be so fine. And that could be risky for me and baby. Fingers crossed baby comes on his own. I want to avoid induction as much as possible.
