no visitors in hospital?

Anyone else not doing visitors?

Right now.. I just want my husband only for the labor part. And then just our parents shortly after (thinking about after 24 hours).  I always felt weird visiting friends in the hospital before and after birth. You look and feel like crap. I know when I'm sick I just want to be left alone. I have tons of friends and family and they all live nearby and I know would visit and overstay... 🙄🙄... just wondering if anyone else did this and what they thought about it in hindsight. Thanks!

I'm having a c-section, so I'll be in the hospital for a few days. I actually want people to come visit then because once I'm home, I don't want any company. Plus, I have crazy dogs who don't like visitors. So they'd better get it while the going is good!

Many hospitals are implementing protocols that require any visitors to know your room number and some even have a pass code before letting them up to the room. I also filled out a form during my registration that I listed the people who were and were not allowed in the room.

Only going to have my SO in the room/1st the hospital until she's born. Only people we're calling when we check in to the hospital is my dad and grandparents, as they live out of state and have a 4-6 hour drive to get here so they will need the heads up. Everyone else will be called probably an hour after she's delivered so I will have had time to spend with her alone with my SO, and then at least another hour after we call (that's about how far everyone lives from us) where I will get showered, she'll go to the nursery for a bath, and we'll move to a postpartum room before people get there to visit. I personally planned it this way because I feel like I will be less overwhelmed having visitors in the hospital than I will be having visitors at home.

It was just my husband, we didn't have any visitors until day 3 we had our parents. Baby was in NICU for almost 2 weeks &I so we didn't have anyone else visit. & then we kept baby in a bubble at home till 6 weeks, so no visitors. Now expecting again & won't be having visitors other than our parents & our daughter on the second day

Just me and my husband during labor and delivery then our parents can meet Baby after a few hours. My parents really want my dad's parents to come and I have caved that they can come the next day for like a 20m visit. I'm really looking forward to the nurses helping keeping it all short and sweet as far as grandparents and great-grandparents are concerned.

I'm the opposite. I'd rather they visit in the hospital. The nurses can make them wash hands make sure they aren't sick and can also kick them out when it's time. At home I feel like it can be awkward getting people to leave or having to explain why they need to wash their hands. At the hospital they deal with it all.

We are having just us 2 in the delivery room. MAYYYYYBE my mom and MIL. Not sure though. After the delivery we are asking for at least 2 hours of privacy before we allow immediate family (my siblings and our parents) everyone else can visit when we get home :)

I had only my fiancée in the delivery room. Family came to visit the day after. Of course they threw a fit but I didn't care because those were my rules. Do whatever YOU feel is comfortable for YOU.
