Sharp intense pains/cramps 35 weeks

Girls is this normal ever since the beginning of week 34 i get really bad intense sharp cramps that make me wanna curl up in a ball. Period cramps never hurt like this and iv read BH contractions are painless. . So what is this? Its switching sides and painful and it hurts to walk and at the same time i have sharp feelings in my vagina... Can anyone help? Tried calling dr gotta wait 30 mins for them to open...
