Fundraiser

My family recently moved to the west coast, we're supposed to take a trip out in march to see them. They haven't seen my little girl, she was born the end of November. My husbands family is taking a family vacation in July, we're supposed to go with them. Does anybody have any good ideas about raising money? I thought about making desserts and trying to sell to businesses and people I know. Any other ideas?
