I feel like my doctor is rushing my baby

I'm 2cm dilated with 17 days to go until my due date. I feel like my doctor is rushing my prince 👑 out he's already talking about stripping membrane ( I don't even know what that is) and he said next week we will discuss different ways of getting labor going but I just want my prince to come when he's ready I don't want to to do all that extra stuff and he keeps telling me if I'm 4cm he is sending me in 😩
