Natural remedies for a itchy scratchy cough

I have this horrible cough that will not go away and I am miserable! I go Monday to be induced and really want this cough gone or at least minimized! Does anyone know any natural ways to relieve this cough? I don't want to take medicine but if I have to does anyone know the medicine that is safe during pregnancy? I want to love on my little girl when she is born and if I don't get better I won't be able to love on her! Please help!
