How long did you spend in the hospital after birth?

I'm curious to know how long you mamas stayed in the hospital after birth. Was it a vaginal birth or a c-section? Why did you stay however long you did?

I requested to go home next day, just had to get okayed by my Dr and baby's dr. Typically it's 2 days vaginal and 3 for c section.

I stayed 2 with my first and 1 with my second - both vaginal. I'm going to stay as long as possible with this one lol

Here in the U.K., if everything goes smoothly and you and baby are healthy you can leave after 6 hours, but if you want to stay you can for additional support.

I had a 3 night 4 day stay, looking back I don't know why it was so long but I honestly enjoyed it💙😂😂 I love my hospital and they took great care of my baby who was 8.9 ounces and 21 in. at birth.

My bathroom was in my delivery room so it was easier last time to roll her in, lol

My phone is being dumb. But I let the nurses take my son to the nursery so I can get some sleep and when I woke up to feed him they brought me the wrong baby and couldn't find my son for almost 3 hours

My hospital states that unless medically necessary to stay longer, vaginal stays for 2 midnight stays, and csection for 4 midnight stays.

My hospital policy is 24 hours for vaginal with no complications and 48-72 for c-section.

I delivered my first at 8:18 pm. My second at 8:27 pm and was discharged the next morning both times. *Although my first born had to stay in NICU and I didn't get to bring my second home 😞🙏🏼
