Will I get a false negative with mirena?

Me and my boyfriend have unprotected sex daily. I currently have mirena. My period is now 3 days late and I'm experiencing absolutely no usual pmsing. I normally get EXTREMELY bad cramps or tender breasts the week before but Nada. I'm guessing I should take a test here soon but my question is if I take one will it even show up if I am pregnant?

False negatives and false positives are very rare.

If your test says negative, it's negative.

Birth control has absolutely no effect on pregnancy tests.

I've had my Mirena iud for about two and a half years now and my period kinda just stopped one day.. 
I do get like back pain, tired, and acne but no blood. I wouldn't worry about it. My boyfriend and I haven't used a condom ever and we've been fine.

I hear that up to 20? 30% of people with Mirena stop getting their periods. If it's negative you're probably fine. I'd be freaking out too though, lol, that's why I got paragard instead.

So I was wondering this as well! I have a mirena so at work (nurse here) I took a pregnancy test. I've taken several over the course of a year and every time they are negative. Mirena does not have the same hormones that your body produces during pregnancy so no, you should not get a positive result. Hope this helps!

I've had my mirena for 8 years and had no periods the entire time. Dont worry , its normal x

Birth control CAN cause false positives BUT it's rare.  If your concerned a doc can do a blood test to confirm
