Omg ok so please help!!!

I'm 16 years old and my boyfriend and I have had sex about 8x but we always use a condom and I started taking birth control and I have read that the first month of birth control your period can vary but I'm just making sure I'm not pregnant...? I think I'm over acting because this is my first time ever taking birth control so idk plz help?!?!!!!
