plan B and birth control

Earlier this day I had unprotected sex and the guy came inside me. Well I didn't realize he did untill just a couple hours ago when he told me. I'm on birth control but don't don't it like I'm supposed to so I'm getting plan B. Should I still take my birth control at my normal time or will the pills cancel each other out?
