what to wear for induction

Hey ladies! Tomorrow I'll be 42 weeks! I'm finally at the end. I'm going to the hospital tonight to get gel inserted to start the induction process, they'll send me home and call me tomorrow to come in and be fully induced. Just wondering what I should wear tonight and what I should wear tomorrow? Does it really matter since I'll be put in a gown anyway? Just curious as to what others wore :)

Honestly I'd wear sweats and a tee. You're not going there to impress anyone, you're going to essentially try and push a basketball out of a coin purse 😂. Dress comfy, especially in stuff that you can wear after birth of you don't want to be stuck in that gown

It doesn't matter. When you're admitted for induction, they'll ask you to strip down and wear a very unattractive hospital gown. Just make sure you have a nice comfortable outfit for going home in.

I was scheduled to be induced at 39W•6D

I arrived to the Hospital at midnight Thursday in Pajama pants and a hoodie (it was rainy & cold)

As soon as I was put into a room I was told to undress and was given a gown to wear with my fuzzy socks (the hospital was freezing)

The Labor & Delivery Nurse came in to insert Cervidil gel on my Cervix & left it there for 12 hours.

From midnight Thursday until that Saturday I stayed there (they didn't send me home) in that gown and warm socks 😊

I just wore a dress in with comfy slippers then wore my robe over my gown for walking.

I'm at the hospital right now being induced. 41+2. Baby girl is being stubborn. We are only dilated to a 1 after 6 hours. 🙄

I wore yoga pants and a sports bra and loose shirt. They had me change immediately to a gown. I wish I was in my own clothes I would feel so much better. And I wish I would have brought my own pillow.
