Would you allow your fiance to name a puppy the same name that his first dog with his ex is named? She kept the dog and won't let him see it and we're looking to get the same breed. His first dog was a female and names Mishka and he wants us to get a female and name her Mishka 2.0.

Why not? It's the name of a dog. It's not like he's naming the dog after the ex for god sake.

My husband is "allowed" to do anything he wants. We invited one of his exs to our wedding and are also considering one of his exs names for our daughter. It's just a name. He picked me. He loves me.

Every pet deserves their own name. Just like you wouldn't name a child the same name. They deserve their own identity. Which is what a name does it gives the pet an identification in your home

Eh, I think it's weird and I wouldn't. I mean none of my pets have ever had the same name. Maybe do something similar? Like at one point I had a cat named Princess, then a dog named King. Now I have a different dog named Prince. Another time we had two dogs named Zeus and Moses. Yeah, I really wouldn't give the dog the exact same name but that's just me.

It's a damn dogs name. 😂 It's not like he's naming it after his ex. And you're his fiance, not his controller. If he wants to get a dog and name it, no matter what the name is then that is his choice.
