If no one enlisted for the war?

What do you think would happen if no one enlisted for anything war related/didn't go even if they are drafted? Not looking to cause fights I'm just wondering what everyone pictures happening.

It's interesting to me that at times when we had a war that was considered necessary like independence, freeing slaves, or fighting nazis people signed up in droves. Yet when we had nonsense wars like Vietnam they didn't.

I trust the American people enough to decide on their own whether a cause is just enough to fight for or not.

There would be few/no soldiers.

If another country wanted to invade, they would meet very little to no resistance unless the home countries allies stepped in.

Draft dodgers used to be persecuted under the law. Unless everyone drafted left the country, they would be drafted or arrested. Plus, there are already plenty of people in the armed forces. A war would still happen.

Military personnel have a legal obligation to defend this country. If they refused to do so, they would see huge fines and possibly jail time. If you are drafted, you legally have to go. I have a feeling many people would see consequences of not doing what is legally obligated of them. Also, that would be all over the news and countries who hate us would see it as a sign of weakness and time to strike. Military on strike would not be a good thing. There would be no one to protect us.

If people stopped enlisting n dodged draft then those drafted would b arrested then they prob would b forced to use prisoners as soldiers. They would find a way to protect America one way or another I'm sure

They would hime a soldier's pay and benefits to bribe people to join. People are greedy so they would.
