Selfish? Too controlling?

My sister in law is throwing me a baby shower...while I'm grateful I'm also freaking out... I threw her a bridal shower not too long ago, but she's an open book so it's pretty dang easy to know her wants, likes, etc. Me on the other hand I'm a closed book and I really am not that close with her although she seems to think we're like bff. My anxiety is on full throttle and I'm freaking out about the theme and if I don't like it and that sounds so terrible and I should just be grateful, but I put so much time and energy into my friends baby showers and her bridal shower that I just feel like I'm not going to get the same energy put into my shower in return. 😪 am I just being selfish and over controlling?

I had the same "problem" but in all honesty I realized after the fact that I was being ungrateful. The shower was amazing and easy nicer than I could've hoped for. I did talk to her about what I would want and not want and she made sure to give me exactly what I wanted. Looking back at it, it really is an awesome gesture to offer to throw you a baby shower and I am so grateful to hey for doing it.

You sound like me haha. My sister is throwing mine. I asked my mom about the progress and she said my sister hasn't done anything, she is a huge procrastinator! It is in 2 weeks. I am glad I have my mom to pick up the slack. Maybe have a friend "check in" and see if she needs help with anything.
