Opinions and experiences on medicine during labor?

What did/will you do?
Would you have done it differently?
Is the epidural worth the pain relief? 
Any advice is appreciated!

I accepted a shot of morphine, do not quite natural and no epi. The idea of the epi was way worse then the idea of natural labor lol. I even regret the morphine honestly. Aroura was born asleep because i took the morphine too late. She was fine once they woke her up. But it was scary not hearing her cry lol.

If the epidural is placed correctly, definitely go for it. With my first child 11 years ago I felt no pain at all barely any pressure, epidural worked wonders. Next kid 8 months ago epidural did not take. Nothing worked so I felt every single drop. Third child due August 2017 I hope to Jesus that my epidural takes LMAO I am a migraine sufferer for the last 20 years so I can deal with pain but if I can avoid it, yes id like to plz lol

I wanted to go natural but for the sake of everyone in the hospital I had an epidural lol. I was up walking right after skin to skin/breastfeeding. No problems what so ever.

I've done two with a epidural and one natural. Neither way felt better for me as they both had their pros and cons. Though my natural birth went way faster than my ones with epidurals and the main reason I wanted a natural birth was so I could get up whenever I wanted after birth rather than waiting the required 2 hours after the epidural. However, it was around two hours before I was able to get up after the natural anyway because I was shaking so bad from the adrenaline rush/drop.

Was able to go all natural for my first baby and I'm glad I did. I'm hopeing the same for this baby too. I was up walking around hours after my son was born. Recovery was so quick and fast with my natural birth. This round I'm hoping for the same thing since I'll have a toddler to take care of at the same time.

I wanted a natural birth but holy hell it hurtsssss! I got epidural at 12 lunch time and gave birth at 8 pm and couldn't feel my legs until 11 pm. I was in the bed for almost 12 hours when I could feel my legs I felt so damn sore from my hips (rn kept rotating me from side to side) 
Also I couldn't pee for the next few days and the dr said my inside could still be asleep and I needed to have a catheter to go bathroom for 1 week it sucked soooooooooo bad!!! 
So if I ever get pregnant again Ima try to hold off as much as I can because catheters the first week your baby is born suckssss! 
The catheter made me bleed soooo much also 😒

i only had gas and air and i didn't have any problems with it.
with this one i'm hoping to have a home birth and again just have gas and air along with a birthing pool.
