How to move baby back to sleep in crib?

Question

The first 2-3 months we had our son sleep in the pack and play next to our bed most of the night. 
Then, when he got sick and had fever from all the vaccines, we co-sleep for a few nights as he kept on crying. After that, we have no luck putting him back to his own bed....
We tried to move him to his bed after he fall asleep in ours; however, he will either wake up crying or only sleep less than 5 mins...
We also tried cry it out the other night, he cried to the point having a hard time breathing... So we gave in. 
We would like to try again this weekend maybe with different methods?! It will be great if you can shine us some light on how we can transition him back to his bed a little easier than just let him cry?
he also has his own room with a crib too.... Which he never sleep at before ....

Similar problem!!! My 6 month old still co sleeps with me because I wanted to wait for his reflux to settle to sleep train. He only sleeps in a daydreamer (inclined positioned) for the first hour, then I have to sleep with him on his side since he hates sleeping on his back. I thought since he turned 6 months I would try the cry it out method and within the first 2 minutes he threw up all over himself and his crib. I swore I would never try it again, but I'm getting so tired consoling him every hour throughout the night. I currently bought him a wedge and a Velcro crib strap to prepare him for possibly another training session. Feeling very anxious and scared!

My son was in his rock and play then in my arms in our bed well he was getting no sleep I was getting no sleep so I moved him to his crib in his room at 4 months he is now 6 months and sleeps in there he cried at first I would go pat him use his pacifier then leave the room he would cry for 10 min I would go back and so on till he was out now he goes down at 7pm and up at 1am for a feeding then down and up till 6am for the day good luck stick with a routine no naps after 4;30pm

Hmm I went through a similar thing. I have the ocean sound machine going on in the background not quite either nor not too loud either. He in a sleep sack, he has pacifier ( wubby kind) he is placed on his back on a special pillow.(simba organic pillow). I usually patting him to sleep with his pacifier  and then put him down in his bed.
He out for rest of the night.

You can try the paci and pat him in the crib until fall asleep in the crib. So it be an easier transition then moving him. It reassuring him that you still there. It will take at least 3-4 days being consistent with it to work. If  you pick him up for a few mins, make sure sure put himback down in the crib again and continue patting or rubbing his back or booty.

Research the cry it out method. You should be slowly increasing the time of crying each night. Endless crying is probably not going to do you either of you good! Good luck!

In the same boat!!! Cry it out DOES NOT work in my household. As of now we have given up and allow my daughter to sleep with us. We'll try her bed again in a few weeks :/

How old? Does he roll yet? If he doesn't roll I'd say swaddle, if he does roll we loved our merlins magic sleep suit until 6 months she started being able to also roll in that. Th u help him feel snuggled and secure.
