Over reacting? Finding heartbeat

OK I had my 12 week appointment today first time hearing the heartbeat but at first it seemed like she couldn't find it it was mostly static then when she finally did she told me it'll be easier next time since the baby will be bigger but it made me very nervous I didn't like it took so long to find, did anyone else have this problem?

It's normal. They baby is very small and could be in different places. Nothing to worry about momma. Honestly even when I was in labor of the monitor moved even slightly his heartbeat would be lost and the nurse would have to come move me or the monitor to find him again.

That happens a lot when you're earlier in your pregnancy. It is totally normal :) congrats on the baby!

I had the same thing happen with my son. I freaked out!!! Next appointment they found it, I wasnt as far along as they thought!

My doctor doesn't use a Doppler to find the heartbeat until 16 weeks. Anything before 12 weeks is a vaginal ultrasound, and 12-16 weeks is an abdominal ultrasound. I wasn't worried about it, but he said it creates unneeded stress in moms when they can't get a good picture or sound, especially first time moms. So he just avoids the situations entirely for peace of mind for everyone!

Dont stress...lts still early.My initial appts were hard 2 find her heart beat cos my placenta was in the way

The first time it took about a minute or two. I was 11w 5d before she started she told me "now it is still early and we may not be ale to find it. Baby is still small" 
We found it.

I'm 19 weeks and they still have trouble lol. Just depends on where the baby is plus they're so small right now. No need to worry!

I'm 13 weeks and at my appointment today my doctor didn't use a doppler because she said that baby is still too small. I had an ultrasound instead where I got to see my bean and see its heart beating away. She said that at my next appointment she would use the doppler since I'll be 17 weeks by then.

Yes normal. 
My doc couldn't find it since baby was 8 weeks so she did a ultrasound which detected the heartbeat
