When could your babys gender be determined?

I read online that you can't tell gender until 20 weeks! That's crazy!

It all depends. There are blood tests hat can determine as early as 12 weeks (I think). Gender ultrasounds aren't really reliable until 18-20 weeks.

We didn't want to pay $250 for a test to find out the gender so we waited until our 19 week anatomy scan.

I wouldn't trust it with an ultrasound before 18 weeks. I've never had the blood test done so don't have an opinion on that one.

We just made an appointment with our doctor to find out the gender at 15 weeks, but it won't be official until our scan at 20 weeks. :) I know I've seen some people find out earlier from some other kind of testing.

Finding out at 18-20 weeks is common. Most of the time you aren't able to find out earlier unless you pay for a blood test or because you are deemed "high risk".

I found out at 16 weeks but couldn't completely confirm until my anatomy scan at 20weeks due to liabity issues I guess.

I had my blood screening at 10 weeks and knew by 12. But by ultrasound they can tell around 14-18 weeks, but 20 is when they're certain.
