Do all pregnant women have to do a 24 hour pee collection????

No, usually only if you're high risk. I just have to give a sample every time I go to the OB so they can check the protein. No 24 hour though.

I was told I had 1+protein in my urine at 24 week check up and if I have 2+ next time I week have to do a 24 hour urine.  I didn't have this issue with my first pregnancy and my blood pressure runs on the lower end but I'm really swollen this time around.  They may be doing it to check your kidneys if you have protein in your urine.

No. They do 24hr urines when you have protein in your urine at your checkup. They are looking for signs of preeclampsia. High blood pressure, protein in the urine and blurred vision are all signs of it.
