How many women on here know the pros and cons to getting your GED? I'm a 16 year old student and my mom pretty much forced me into virtual school when I was 14 so since she put me in virtual school I haven't taken any of the basic tests such as fcat or the eoc. I plan on just getting a waiver and just taking the GED test instead because even if I were to stay in school and finish online my work would amount to nothing because you have to be able to take the fcat and pass it in order to graduate as well as the EOC... Well in the state of Florida that is. The thing about it is my mom Is so controlling its like she doesn't even want me to get an education but forcing me at the same time.... She's pretty much ruining my whole life and doesn't realize it. I want to be a normal student and go to public school but she's not allowing me to do that which is forcing me to just get my GED instead... Can someone give me insight on what to do?
