Has your anxiety gotten worse as you've gotten older?

I had anxiety as a teen, but as I've gotten older it somehow seems to have gotten worse. My doctors recommends meditation, deep breathing in situations but it feels like it's not even close to working. I have anxiety medication, I ONLY take in a severe case. That seems to be the only thing working. I work out everyday, eat right. I wonder if it will keep getting worse. Any ladies with anxiety have any insight?
