Spotting after ovulation???

Currently on day 16 of cycle. Last period started Jan 23rd. Next period to start in 12 days. I started with very light pink spotting only when wiping that start last night then went away and then again appeared tonight but only when wiping. I have never had mid cycle spotting before. Just trying to get some insight of what it may be. I have been trying to conceive for two years with miscarriage October 2015. No other pregnancies. Any idea what the spotting may be due to or has anyone else experienced this. Any thing will help. Thank you :)
