I think it would be no good to takenin the first trimester as some people use large doses of vitamin c to induce a miscarriage, this could have the same effect.

Ask your OB! A lot of times they don't want you taking things like this because of the vitamins it adds on top of your prenatal. I definitely wouldn't take it in the first trimester.
