BC pill after partial molar pregnancy

Were any of you highly recommended to go back on the pill after finding out you had a pmp? When my doctor asked me what I planned on using for birth control I had told him condoms and he said that wouldn't be good enough... Prior to trying to conceive I had been on the pill for 8 years and after doing research I have found that oral contraceptives can actually increase your risk of a molar pregnancy if used over long periods of time. After all my body has been through I would like it to have the chance to regulate on its own.
