numb and in shock

Just came home after a routine doctors appt. I'm almost 17 weeks and the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat.  Had an emergency ultrasound and it confirmed our angel (I learned it was a boy today) had passed.
I have to now have a D&E. anyone ever have this?
I'm worried about future pregnancies.
Thanks

Awwwww my heart broke to read your story :'( I'm so sorry this happened. I lost my little one two weeks ago after a routine ultrasound showed a cornual pregnancy. Had to have open surgery to terminate. Did you give your angel a name? Ours we named Journey ❤ here to chat if you need it ❤

no I had to have an open c-section type surgery because of the location of the baby and the risk of rupture. apparently the mortality rate for cornual pregnancies is really high for the mother. scary :( so I'm off work for the next 6 weeks recovering from basically a c-section but without the baby :(

Thanks for your kind words and I'm so so very sorry for your loss as well. Did you have a similar procedure after your loss?

I'm so sorry you are going through this. It is truly devastating. We lost our last daughter at 15 weeks and I had the same procedure. My doctors told me it didn't change my odds of conceiving again and did not increase my risk of miscarriage and right now I'm almost 36 weeks with our newest daughter. I got pregnant with her not long after our loss.
