do you have to take the period week pills?

On the last week of the birthcontol pills (the ones you take on your period). Do you have to take them? Since they have no hormones? Arent they just to keep you on track?

You're right.  They are just there to keep you on track.  You don't have to take them.  Just make sure you start the new pack on schedule.

They're just there to keep you on track and in the habit of taking a pill everyday at the same time. If you're good at taking your pills and know it won't cause you issues, then you could decide not to take them. 
A few brands put iron in them to supplement any loss during your "period" (withdrawal bleeding), so if you bleed a lot it might help you to take them. Most don't so it'll help to read your pamphlet to know if yours does.

If you feel like you might forget the rutine, or might even start the new pack late because of it then I suggest you keep taking them. 
I used to do that, but stopped like  5 months ago because whats the point? Lol 
As long as you know you wont forget, then take that week and enjoy your freedom lol no alarms no nothing hahaha.
