Iud failure??

Hey! So I had my first child in June of 2016, then got the marina Iud soon after. I had the same Iud in highschool, never had my period on it and never had any issues. Well two weeks ago (right at 6 months after getting iud) I got my period for the first time... weird right, considering I never usually get it...? Well a few days after my period finished I woke up at 4 am gushing clear fluid out of my vagina. Definitely not pee tho! It was really weird! I read that a few other women experienced similar fluid gushing around 7 or 8 months after having a baby and they said it was due to the first real ovulation after having a baby... I don't have insurance to go get checked out and even the planned parent hood in my state requires insurance! I'm really worried that my Iud is failing and I'm at risk of being pregnant since my husband and I had unprotected sex the night of the strange fluid gush... help!
