Same baby name?

My husband and I have finally fell in love with a name for our baby girl. Last night I seen on Facebook that my best friends brother and his wife are naming their little girl the same name. I'm crushed. Her baby will be born before ours. Should I try to find another name or keep what we love. What would you do in this situation?

Keep the name you love, it's not like you were intentionally naming your child the same thing. A lot of people have same names.

Meh. I would use it anyway. It's a best friends brother. If it was an immediate cousin you saw all the time or your brother I might reconsider but in this case I wouldn't even worry about it myself lol

I'd use it... what's the name? if it's popular i probably wouldn't even make the connection but if it was something like Calliope i'd find it odd

The first name I thought it was Sofía before I found out the sex and when we found out I posted it on Facebook with the picture! and my boyfriends friend had the nerve to ask why I was naming my daughter that when his daughter is named that. Lol like I knew or like I even care 😒! KEEP IT 😊

One of my friends got pregnant before me. I told her that I wanted to name my child after my great aunt Lyla, and her mom Rose - 'Lyla Rose' so what does she name her child you ask? Lyla Rose... wtf. I decided that now that I'm pregnant, if I have a girl, I will still be naming her Lyla, but will be choosing another middle name.

Keep it unless your uncomfortable with that. Then you'll have to find another name. Personally I'd keep it
