I have always loved the name winter. I went to high school with someone who had that name and I fell instantly in love with it. .our first daughter I named Celena , out of respect for my father, because that was his mother's name and they were very close. She passed away before I was born. I had a son next , and now I'm pregnant with a daughter ! My husband and I decided on naming her winter rose. We love it. We feel like that's who she always was. ... to us it carries a lot of significance because we met and feel in love in the winter and both children were born in winter. It seems to be our magical time of year. Tonight I was on the phone with my father, whom I adore, and he flat out told me that I was going to make my little winter miserable because everyone will ridicule her name...he also threw in that I was also going to harm my other children miserable because people would make fun of them over their sisters name. .. I had to bite my tongue off and politely tell him we will have to agree to disagree. If we lived in some conservative part of the country maybe I could see where he was coming from , but we live in Massachusetts..the most open liberal state in the United States. Most people here have children with unique names. In fact , uniqueness is highly encouraged. Idk. His comment hurt a lot and embarrassed me as if the name winter is totally Ludacris. I simply told him despite what anyone may feel the name is sticking. She already is winter rose. My entire rest of the family, including our children are in love with their sisters name.... was my dad right? Is the name horrible and humiliating?? Be honest, I want to hear what you beauties have to say ... thanks 💜💛💚💙❣💟💗💞💖💝💕❤❤❤
