"Educate yourself"

Ky
Okay, so I just wanted to make a rant about this. When a young girl (or a female of any age, but it's usually young teens) makes a question asking about something and someone says something like "you need to educate yourself," it just really bothers me. Because the main purpose of this app is to help each other out when we have questions. Most schools did not have good sex Ed, and a lot of girls have little to no knowledge about sex and periods. When someone asks a question on here, that's them trying to educate themselves. They're going to an app that is based on women's health and asking a question in hopes of getting answers. You telling them to educate themselves isn't doing anything except maybe making them feel like shit. I understand that there are a lot of things that may seem like common knowledge, but seriously, if they knew then they wouldn't ask. I'm honestly just sick of people acting so condescending on here, because not everyone has the privilege of being aware of their sexuality, body, etc. I just really needed to let that out.
