I know a lot of women breast feed but I've been doing for 6 weeks and it flippen hurts! :/ when will it get better?! I use the cream and it still doesn't make it better...

It's probably a latch issue. It shouldn't hurt after the first few days. Check with a lactation consultant if you can so they can help you with the latch.

Baby may be latching wrong. Make sure their top and bottom lip are around your brest, not tucked into their mouth. They need a bunch of breast in there, not just the nipple.

As for the pain, rub some milk on your nipples and leave it to air dry. That is what helped me most

Use a nipple shell. I didn't think it would work but the difference was night and day for me! I used a little lanolin and wore the Nipple shell for just a day and it was so much better. Make sure you buy the one for sore nipples (and not the one for inverted nipples).

Pinch your boob like a hamburger and shove it in his mouth, he needs a lot in there to get a good latch, it shouldn't hurt

I just brought my nipple pain and sensitivity to my doctors attention and she is perscribing APNO (all purpose nipple ointment) she said many patients have success with it. She also thinks it could be Reynauds of the nipples which is apparently treated with BP meds.

This happened to me. I would be crying in pain. I went to see lactaction consultants many times. He had a lip and tongue tie removed. I used nipple shields. Nothing helped. I got to the point I was hating to be near my son because he was hurting me so badly. It's drilled into our heads that "breast is best". After 10 weeks I finally realized it's not. I started formula and my relationship with my baby got so much better. Good luck, I hope you can figure out the problem.

It gets better.  I have crazy sensitive nipples so it took me awhile to get where it doesn't hurt but it finally stopped hurting.

Make sure your LO doesn't have any lip or tongue ties.
My nipples had dark purple bruises from how hard he sucked, they were cracked and bleeding and would NOT heal, and every time my LO nursed he would re-open the cracks and they'd bleed more, and I had sores that were so raw that the skin was dark red and would bleed as well. I cried out in pain, with tears streaming down my face every single time he latched, no matter how "perfect" his latch was. I figured out that he had a lip tie at 6 weeks, had to wait for the 2 month doctor's appointment for confirmation, and the soonest We could get an appointment to get it taken care of was at 9 weeks. Right away after the procedure he nursed SO much better, but it took him a few days to learm how to latch correcrly. It took 79 days of breastfeeding for my poor nipples to heal, and to FINALLY have my first pain-free nursing session.
