cycle is crazy

So I had my baby back in January. I breastfed her til about August. At my 6 week follow up my doctor put in the implanon (spelling) which made me continuously bleed. So I got it taken out in June since hubby was deployed anyway. My cycle can't seem to regulate and we are TTC again now that he is back. But I can't seem to figure out what is the beginning of my cycle. I spot for 4-5 days before full on flood gates opening. What is day one of my cycle? Thanks ladies for any help.
