craziest labor & delivery!!

Diana
I went into hospital at 5 am sat because I was bleeding (more than what I thought was a usual bloody show amount but it turns out it was just bloody show) but they saw my water broke a little so they ended up admitted me. I wasn't having contractions yet so I was started on pitocin and labored all day and night. Had a couple scares where baby's HR dropped too low so we had to lower pitocin or hold the dose so my labor progressed very slowly. Eventually I was dilated to 7 cm but stayed there for like 8 hours and pitocin wouldn't dilate me more and the right side of my cervix was swollen and not fully effaced. I labored for 26 hours total. we decided at that point c section is the best option and my dr agreed saying she doesn't think I will progress more on the pitocin at this point. Which I was fine with!! I just wanted it to be over! Oh yea I also had to get epidural twice bc first time it failed and only my left side was numb and my right side still painful (5/10). Anyways so they prepped me for C section. But during it I started getting the worst headache of my life and I started seeing aura, like rainbow flashing lights. I told the docs but they just told me to take some slow deep breaths. When they were done taking the baby out of me, i ended up having a seizure. I basically blacked out and my husband said he thought I died bc I looked like I did. Like eyes open mouth open and unresponsive. :( So he got rushed out of the OR, I got intubated etc. so scary for him!! He was sobbing when I woke up!! And I was so confused. I had no idea what happened. I was out for only a couple minutes. They said my face was twitching. I'm totally ok now! And thank God our baby girl is alive and healthy too! The really sad part is I didn't see her for a whole day bc they kept me in ICU to monitor me closely. And it's too risky to have her in there bc of all the germs. I finally got to see her yesterday!! And it was soooo sweet and so emotional. We are all finally together now! So glad to be out of ICU!! It was terrible In there haha. It was a rough labor and delivery but I am SO thankful to be alive and that our baby girl is alive and healthy!!! PTL! 💕❤ I was due on 2/9 and gave birth on 2/12. Baby girl Chloe Evelyn is 21.5 inches and 8 lbs 3 oz!
