Engorged breast

My son is 4 days old today and just yesterday was the first day i didnt breastfeed him exclusively. Im a ftm amd have been only wanting to breastfeed but my newborn has been cluster feeding every 20 mins and my nipples got to the point of soreness where i just had to take a little break. We also had a pediatrician appt yesterday and the doctor gave me Newborn Enfamil ready to use bottles and said i can try it with him, and i did and he took the bottle with no problem and he hasnt been spitting up at all. I am still going to try pumping starting today also. My breast are soooo engorged and hard as can be. Forgot to buy breast pads so im cutting actual pads in half and using them for right now 😣 i know this is all normal and a part of the whole breastfeeding experience but im tryinggg!! What helps to ease the engorgement??? Do cabbage leaves really help? Thanks in advance...
