3 !meals a day?

My son is 8mo old and is eating 2 meals a day, breakfast and dinner. I was wondrrin if/when I should start serving him a meal at lunch timd as well? He's breastfed inbetween meals.

Don't stress too much about how much he eats, just keep offering different flavours and textures. Breast milk or formula is his main source of nutrition for the first 12 months.

My son nurses about 6 times per day and has 3 solid meals. I'm considering upping it to 4 solids because he's super active.

My pediatrician recommends breastfeeding 4-6 times per day (including night feedings) and solids once to three times pet day at this age.   Breastmilk is the better source of both calories and nutrition over solids.  I'm not stressing too much over three meals till closer to 12 months.

My 8 months old schedule is:

8am - 5/6oz milk
10am - solid breakfast (porridge, fruit purée etc) 
11.30/12 - 5 oz milk
2pm - solid lunch with dessert e.g puréed spaghetti bolognase with fruit pot for dessert
6pm- solid dinner e.g veggies with rice or fish pie purée with fruit of yogurt dessert
8/8.30pm - 6oz bottle and bed

She also has recently started to have snacks in between such as carrot stick crisps, biscuits etc any food she can hold herself really

My 8 month old is eating 4 solid meals a day plus formula
 I had to bump him up to 4 when he was showing he was hungry more often. Its on a per baby basis.
