When did you or your SO drop the bomb?

My boyfriend just told me on v-day (I couldn't say it back). 
I felt like it was too sudden. 
It's been a little less than a month.

And having him say it this early on in our relationship has me freaking out. Like maybe he isn't taking it as seriously as I am, or maybe he thinks we're more serious than I thought we were? 
He's understating of me not saying it back, but I'm feeling insecure now.

Has anyone else been in this situation?

I knew him for three weeks and dated for two weeks when I said it. We were just watching a movie and I had been thinking about him all day just wondering if I was serious about us. And I realized I was and I planned on telling him when I saw him. I whispered "I love you" to him and he replied with "what" and I thought he wasnt ready to say it yet so I just said it was nothing. But he made me tell him again and he smiled at me and said it back. 
He still talks about it with me, 9 months later. I'm so happy I'm with him and made the moves I wanted to make.

He said it to me 4-5 months after we started dating. We were driving around town and I made a joke about something and he was like "God, I love you.". His reaction was a little 'Oh crap!' because he knew my last relationship ended via a cheating ex and he knew I wanted to take things slow, but I trusted him and felt the exact same way. I kissed him and said "God, I love you, too."❤

I said it to him just over a month of dating but knew before then. Our love has further developed since then.
It depends on the couple ans how long you've known each other prior, honestly.
Seems like you need to have a serious talk about your relationship with your boyfriend.

My SO said it not even a month after we got together, probably 2-3 weeks. When we first got together we had a really weak relationship & we're kind of awkward. So when he told me he loved me it took my by surprise. I regret saying it back because I didn't fully mean it in the sense he did (as in I loved him but I wasn't in love with him). We've been together for almost 2 years though & I can't stop saying it to him now.

I said it first a month and a half i think into our relationship haha 😂 i'm older that's why. And he told me sincerely three weeks ago, and i was absolutely stunned i couldnt say anything back lol

Haha so my SO said it after 1 day...  Well what he said was "I think I love you"  haha I replied with "I think I might love you to"

My now husband told me he loved me a little after a month of dating. I didn't say it back right away either, but I did maybe a week or so later. That was over 4 years ago. We've been married for 2 years and now have a perfect daughter.
 If you aren't ready to say it back, don't. Wait until you are. If he doesn't accept that, then he doesn't deserve you. Love is patient.
