Does anybody else get ovarian cysts?

Where are you at? ;) First time I got one, I thought I had appendicitis. What are your stories?

I used to get ovarian cysts...my periods were lasting 1-2 months STRAIGHT with no break. I always had cramps and messed up hormones (the works) I went to the gyno and found out that my cysts were filled with blood instead of the regular fluid. She put me on birth control and I haven't had a problem since!

They said I was born with mine. I never had any pain or problems with it until a few months ago. (I am 19 now). When I got it checked, I found out it was the size of a tennis ball. I got it removed a week ago, but because of the size, I had to get my ovary and fallopian tube removed as well. Recovery is going well though!

I had a cyst that was 11cm at its widest point. Found out about it only because my growing pregnant uterus pushed it out so that it bulged and the ultrasound texh could fond my ovary. Had it removed at 17 weeks preggers so that it wouldnt cause any intestinal damage or pressure as my belly got bigger (my son was 8lbs 12 ounces and 21 inches long when he was born so it could have caused some damage.) and my son is 10 months old and i got an ultrasound done because my new birth control caused more periods then i used to and tech said she would never have known i had surgery just by looking. Growing up i had a lot of weird pains like pulling a muscle but my guardians never thought it was serious so they never took me to the doctor about it.

I have PCOS, but if I get my cysts removed they grow right back. Only option is to get my ovaries removed and that would cause a horrible hormone imbalance that I don't want to deal with 😂

I was but on birth control at like 13 beachside of cysts. I went to the ER a few times for the pain but since being on the pill I've had no problems. I know a few girls who are on the pill because of them

I thought my husband had made me pull something during sex. It only ever caused me pain during sex at first so I thought he was just hitting my cervix or something. Then one day I continued to die from pain long after we had finished so I went to the dr. Had a couple of cysts on my ovary. Got out on birth control to try and reduce the size.
