Does your SO go through your phone?

Ladies, my bf goes through my computer and phone whenever I'm not looking. I have nothing to hide so that's not what bothers me. What bothers me is the complete lack of trust that he's showing me. How would you handle this? He gets very touchy about this subject which makes the conversation hard. I respect his privacy because I hope for him to respect mine in return. But he makes it out to it basically being a thing whether I like it or not. HELP!!!

He doesn't go through mine and I don't go through his. There has to be trust in a relationship

He doesn't go through my phone and I don't go through his and we only know each other's passwords and codes in case of an emergency. Even if he wanted to go through my phone, I have nothing to hide. Trust is an important pillar in a relationship. I'd say it's second to respect.

I don't mind if my man goes through my phone and my social media accounts. I'm open to him about everything, if I had something on my phone that is confidential with a family member or my girl friends, I'll tell him and obviously he's gonna respect it. If you don't like him going through your phone and you react on that then it's gonna make it seem like you're hiding something which for him he'll think you are hiding something

ask him what makes him feel as though he needs to go through your phone & computer, let him know that you have nothing to hide and tell him you don't mind but you just wondered why he doesn't trust you

I feel like all of this "he doesn't go through mine and I don't go through his" sets the example as to why SOs feel the need to go through them in the first place. My bf goes through mine, I through his and it's not a lack of trust thing, it's a respect thing
