vagina tear?

A couple days ago my boyfriend and I had pretty rough sex and there was no pain or anything. I was a little sore the next day but that's normal. The next day we tried having sex again but no matter how much lube we used penetration was so painful my legs kept pushing him back. I decided to look down there tonight and I noticed that there are these small tears in the skin right at the entrance of my vagina. Not the outer most layer (not the labia) but like the next layer under that. Is that normal? If not will it heal?
