My husband and I are 27 years apart, expecting our 5th. He's always being taken for my father or our children's grandfather. Our families had a hard time to accept it but now they make an effort to put up with our relationship and be polite. Anyone on a similar boat?

My husband is 10 1/2 years older. We married when I was 27 and he was 38. We are now expecting our second child together and very happily married. Not as big of an age gap as you but it moreso depends on the couple. I know many couples who are farther apart in age and still super compatible. It's more important that your life goals and values are aligned than being close in age.
